Mental Health Services for Older People provide specialist diagnosis and care to people of all ages with probable dementia and people over 65 years of age with depression, anxiety and psychotic illnesses. A range of services offer different levels of support dependent on the severity of your illness at that time. 

 

The majority of people we see will also have some physical health needs or other age-related issues. 

 

We have 3 wards, each consisting of

1 band 7 Charge Nurse, 3 band 6 Deputies, 14 band 5 Staff Nurses and 17 Unqualified Nurses.

Melton Mowbray Hospital has one ward on which we provide general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care.

The team there consists of a Charge nurse, 3 deputies, 8 Registered Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner and 10 Health Care Assistants.

St Luke's Hospital in Market Harborough has two wards.  We provide specialist stroke rehabilitation on ward 1 and general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care on ward 3.

The team there consists of 2 Charge nurses, 6 deputies, 16 Registered Nurses, 28 Health Care Assistants as well as housekeeping and administration staff

Loughborough Hospital has one ward on which we provide general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care.

The team there consists of a Charge nurse, 4 deputies, 9 Registered Nurses, and 13 Health Care Assistants

Coalville Community Hospital has 2 wards on which we provide care. On ward 1 we specialise in Stroke rehabilitation. On ward 2 we provide general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care.

The team there consists of 2 Charge nurses, 5 deputies, 21 Registered Nurses, and 37 Health Care Assistants as well as administration and housekeeping staff

Feilding Palmer Hospital has one ward on which we provide general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care.

The team there consists of a Charge nurse, 1 deputy, 11 Registered Nurses and 5 Health Care Assistants

The City inpatient beds at the Evington Centre consist of two physical health wards, Beechwood ward and Clarendon ward which provide general rehabilitation, palliative care and end of life care.

The team there consists of 2 Charge nurses, 6 deputies, 21 Registered Nurses and 34 Health Care Assistants as well as administration and housekeeping staff.

Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital has two wards on which we provide general rehabilitation and palliative and end of life care.

The team there consists of 2 Charge nurses, 6 deputies, 20 Registered Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner and 31 Health Care Assistants, 2 administrators and 2 housekeepers
